Meet our staff
Head Teacher | Sarah-Ann Nicholson
My name is Sarah-Ann, and my teaching style is the reason for Sarah's Sanctuary. I am a passionate teacher who teaches with practical application outcomes always in mind, aiming to help every student not only learn, but change and grow! I am a qualified teacher with over 30 years experience in teaching all ages, abilities and disabilities from Primary to TAFE level. I have homeschooled my 3 boys since January 2008. My 2 eldest are currently successfully studying at University. I teach all the core subjects, as well as coordinating teaching staff, curriculum development and general running of Sanctuary. I have a passion for helping students discover who they are and expressing themselves, as well as the arts, like photography, painting, woodwork and textiles. |
Administration Manager & Teacher Assistant | Kirsty Brokenshire
My name is Kirsty and I have been overseeing classes at Sarah's Sanctuary (and previously HEY Fever) since January 2011. I home schooled my children since January 2009 and still think it is the most awesome journey I had with my children. My 3 children (now all in their 20's) all participated in the our classes and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere of friendship and learning in our group. My focus is on the general management of the group including correspondence, website development, enrollments, accounts, class timetabling and advertising as well as helping out in the classroom. I graduated with a Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering and am currently studying a Diploma in Building Design. My passions are Maths, Technical Drawing, Sciences, STEAM, Coding & Engineering. |
